Petroleum Network Copyright Policy
General Agreement Note
When accessing, viewing, downloading or otherwise using Petroleum Network or any webpage or feature available through Petroleum Network (the Website), any information provided as part of the Petroleum Network services, or any related emails, or services (hereinafter collectively “ the “Services”), or by clicking “Join Petroleum Network” during the registration process, you agree to a legally binding agreement with Petroleum Network LLC, Office 300, 2500 CityWest Blvd, Houston, Texas 77042 United States (we/the Company”) based on the terms of this Petroleum Network User Agreement (“Agreement”) and become a Petroleum Network user (“User”).
Intellectual Property Policy
1. Ownership
The Company retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service and the Website and the corresponding intellectual property rights and reserves all rights not explicitly granted.
2. Copyright
Copyright in the Service and the Website (including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software) is owned or licensed by the Company. Other than for the purposes of, and subject to the conditions prescribed under, The Intellectual Property Rights Act of 2008 and similar legislation which applies in your location, and except as expressly authorised by these Terms and Conditions, you may not in any form or by any means:
(i) adapt, reproduce, store, distribute, print, display, publish or create derivative works from any part of the Service or the Website;
(ii) Commercialise any information, products or services obtained from any part of the Service or the Website without prior written permission from the Company.
3. Trade Marks
Except where otherwise specified, any logos, graphics, icons, work or device to which the attached symbol is ® or ™ is a registered trade mark or mark in the process of registration. If you use any of the trade marks owned/marks in process of registration by the Company in reference to our activities, products or services, you must include a statement attributing the trade mark to the Company. You must not use our trade marks:
(i) in or as the whole or part of your own trade marks;
(ii) in connection with activities, products or services which are not ours;
(iii) in a manner which may be confusing, misleading or deceptive; or
(iv) in a manner that disparages us or our information, products or services (including without limitation, the Service and the Website).
4. Copyright assigned
You agree that all copyright which subsists in any material or information provided by you to the Company is assigned to the Company. You will not post, transmit or otherwise provide any material or information in which the copyright is owned by another person or entity and you warrant that all material and information provided is your original work and not sourced from any third party.
